An incredible birding holiday with Rebecca Atherton found us at Hart’s Pass where we saw a pair of White-winged Crossbills, 2 Pine Grosbeaks, the pair of White-tailed Ptarmigan below and a Lynx. Other trip highlights include Three-toed Woodpecker (2 along FR39 and 1 at Salmon Meadows), Boreal Chickadee (2 at Salmon Meadows), 3 more Pine Grosbeaks at Salmon Meadows, Black Swift (15 birds seen from real close just north of Winthrop), Dusky Grouse (2 at Sun Mtn Lodge) and Common Poorwill in Robinson Canyon.
