Some pictures from various locations, OR (mid October 2010)

This Townsend’s Warbler was at UJ Hamby Park in Hillsboro on 10/19/2010.

Just a few yards further, I was able to snap a shot of this Striped Meadowhawk.

An adult with a young Greater White-fronted Goose were floating down the Ecola River in downtown Cannon Beach on October 17.

This gull was in the roost at the beach on the north side of the Ecola River in Cannon Beach the same day. Can you id it?

This Chestnut-backed Chickadee came really close near the top of Hood River Mountain on October 16.

Another Striped Meadowhawk (with no apparent stripes) was at Emma Jones Nature Preserve on October 18.  Thanks to Jim Johnson for confirming the id on both bugs shown here.

Obsessed with birding, I started taking a pictures in '01 after a brief personalized intro by the incomparable David LaPuma. In July '09, I acquired a Canon EOS 50D with a 100-400mm IS lens to be able to shoot the fast-moving lbjs that were so difficult before. In Dec '14, I upgraded my body to a Canon 7D Mark II and immediately noticed a big improvement. Nevertheless, I'm first and foremost a birder, then a photographer.
