Another SE AZ trip (09/02-05/11)

A female Black Setwing below.

This set of Black-capped Gnatcatchers is from Montosa Canyon. One of the adults was tail-less.

A Dickcissel popped up for us at Kino Springs.

An agitated Cactus Wren was calling from at the Desert Museum near Tucson.

This Lucifer Hummingbird was only second fiddle on this lucky day at the Ash Canyon B&B.

The star of the show was a Plain-capped Starthroat, also at the Ash Canyon B&B.

Finally, a Western Kingbird and a Yellow-eyed Junco.

Obsessed with birding, I started taking a pictures in '01 after a brief personalized intro by the incomparable David LaPuma. In July '09, I acquired a Canon EOS 50D with a 100-400mm IS lens to be able to shoot the fast-moving lbjs that were so difficult before. In Dec '14, I upgraded my body to a Canon 7D Mark II and immediately noticed a big improvement. Nevertheless, I'm first and foremost a birder, then a photographer.
